Conditional: Baptism and Confirmation

Our Dear Bishop McKenna’s policy in regard to Novus Ordo Baptism and Confirmation was to doubt their validity and perform these Sacraments Conditionally to make sure. This means those who were baptized in the Vatican II Church after 1969 and/or Confirmed after 1968, should see Fr. Rodriguez. One cannot be confirmed unless he is certainly baptized.

A baptized person who receives Confirmation knowing that he is in the state of mortal sin, commits a grave sin of sacrilege and receives no grace. He does, however, receive the sacrament validly. If, therefore, he regains the state of grace, he will then receive the graces of Confirmation.
Fr. Connell’s Catechism, 1952

Thank you, Father Rodriguez.

The 30 Gregorian Masses will be offered for Mrs. Marietta Costanzo by the Bishop and Priests in Argentina. If you would like to donate to pay for one or more of these Masses, there is a list in the back of the Chapel for you to sign up. Please make checks payable to Fr. Rodriquez.

We need 4 people to volunteer to each mow the lawn once a month at the chapel. Please see Mr. Rotunda.
Fr. Rodriguez

The Advisory Board of the Chapel met last week and discussed some of the maintenance projects that must be done around our Chapel. The top priority items right now, are a new carpet for the inside of the Chapel and a new roof on part off the Rectory/Convent building. These are the types of projects that are paid out of the ORCM Building fund collection which is taken up once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We will be getting estimates on these projects and will pass them along when we have them, but in the meantime, the more generous you can be in our 2nd collection, the easier it will be to pay for these expenses when they come up.
Additionally, if you know of anyone in the business of doing either of these projects, that needs/wants the work and will give us a good deal on the costs, please let Joe Rotunda know.
Thank you.
